" Pain becomes bearable when we are able to trust that it won't last forever, not when we pretend that it doesn't exist. As a parent of a child with special needs, you may be relieved to know that you will come to terms with the fact that your child has certain limitations. Only they are only as limited as you let them be, Autism is not the end of the world... just the beginning of a new one.. just open your eyes--- and see. I am a proud mother of an autistic child.. He is the light of my life and the sunshine in my mornings. I used to think why me but now I think how could I want to change who he is, the little guy that I love so much... Plus who's to say what normal is maybe there the ones with special needs.."What lies behind us, and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."
